We are a small, breed specific rescue that operates with a team of volunteers. We are a small charity that is sustained by our fundraising efforts, sponsorship and event opportunities and your kind donations - so we appreciate your support immensely!
All of the funds we recieve benefit the dogs in our care or dogs in the community needing assistance. We use your donations to: purchase food, bedding, flea/worming for dogs, provide necessary medical care (dentals, surgeries, procedures), desexing, vaccinations, microchipping, NZCAR and council registration. Together with anything else the dogs in our care require.

TAX RECEIPTS FOR THE IRD:
CAN I GET A TAX RECEIPT FOR MY DONATION?
Yes, absolutely!
We are a New Zealand Registered Charity, as a result all donations made to us are tax deductible. You can claim back 33.33% of your donation!
To claim back, once you have made the donation please email us with your full name, the account name (if different) the deposit will be under, the date of the donation and the total amount donated. We will then send you a receipt to be used to claim back your tax.

CAN I GET A YEARLY SUMMARY RECEIPT FOR MY DONATION?
If you have started an automatic payment and would like an end of year summary of donations to file with the IRD, please email us just prior to/or at the end of the financial year (31 March each year) with your details (ie. the name you deposit under and last donation date) and we will prepare this for you to file.
Please note: these aren't automatic for each regular donator - please contact us at the end of the year with your details and will respond with the receipt.

We have a list of items that we are constantly in need of, if you would like to purchase these items we are always in need of (new):
- Small or medium sized beds or blankets (only new please);
- Small or medium solid black metal crates;
- Flea and worming treatments (we use Comfortis, Capstarr, Revolution Bravecto, Endogard, Advocate and Frontline brands for dogs between 0-10kg);
- Brand new doggy toys;
- Large plastic storage bins (for our storage unit to store surplus food);
Where to shop?
We recommend Kmart for bedding, we purchase the S and M beds here and their throws make wonderful dog blankets!
We usually purchase metal crates from GoodsDirect2U.
Flea and worming from either PETstock, Animates or Pet.Kiwi.
FOOD DONATIONS:
As most of the dogs we get in have skin issues, we feed only*:
- ACANA small breed, ACANA senior, ACANA pasifika;
- Orijen Original, Orijen senior Orijen Small Bites or Orijen six fish.
- Vet diet foods: Royal Canin Cardiac, AnAllergenic, Hills - Liver Diet, Urinary Diet
* Sorry we are unable to accept donations of other foods, but thank you for thinking of us!
